Last day for donations 16 December.
Claremont Congregation’s Big Christmas Card:
The opportunity to post a greeting to others at Claremont on the card in the vestibule. It should save you money by not having to send cards to all your friends at Claremont, and if you wish, that saving can be donated in the box beside the card. This year, proceeds are going to the Ukrainian Children’s Orphanage.
Nativity Service – 23rd December:
Our Nativity Service will be taking place on 23rd December. As per last year, this year’s nativity is a ‘no-rehearsal’ nativity, and therefore, we would love for as many people in the church as want to (both children and adults!) to come dressed as a character for the nativity! We are looking specifically for: Mary, Joseph, donkeys, shepherds, sheep, angles, a star (or two) and some wise men. Part of the beauty of the no-rehearsal nativity is that we can have more than one of each character, so do feel free to dress up and to join in the nativity story! If you have any questions please contact Ali (firstname.lastname@example.org or 07763112600).
Holiday Club 2019:
We are starting to look at preparing towards our holiday club for summer 2019. This might seem like a long way away, but we do need to begin putting plans in place in order to make Space Academy 2019 as successful (and hopefully more so) than our previous holiday clubs. Given the great response and enthusiasm towards our holiday club from schools and families in the area, our team for 2018 was operating at capacity, with around 50-60 young people attending each day. In expectation of even greater numbers this coming year, we are hoping to see an increase in the number of people on the team in order to allow us to welcome even more children! We realise that not everyone is comfortable working with children directly, therefore, if you feel that you could help at holiday club by being involved in the registration of the children or making up the snacks for each day or indeed, being a group leader/team helper then please do contact Ali Scott (email@example.com or 07763112600). If you have any questions about what any of these things would look like or what would be expected of you then please do get in touch.

We would like to say thank you for all the prayers and support during Jim’s illness and for the prayers, all the cards, flowers and phone calls after Jim passed away. Thank you Gordon for the lovely services and tribute to Jim’s life. The donation at both services for Beatson Cancer Research amounted to £512 which is amazing. Stephen and Shona delivered it to the Beatson and it was gratefully received by them. We would also like to thank Karen for looking after Chloe, Charlotte and Matthew. They had a lovely time with her. With love from Sheila, Stephen, Shona and Bryan.
