After his resurrection, Jesus gave his followers (the Church) their marching orders – to make disciples. Discipleship is simply learning about & following Jesus, what it means to call him “Lord”. Growing Claremont is a series aimed at doing just that – working out what it means to be disciples of Jesus today and facing up to the task of being his Church in today’s world. Having run this series last year, we have started the series again on Thursday 31st January. A series of 10 meetings over the year, meeting on the last Thursday of the month (apart from July), and finishing in November. If you are interested in taking part, or if you want more information, contact Ali Scott – firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07763112600.
Parkinsons UK Fundraising:
Many thanks to all who helped raise funds last year for Parkinson’s UK. Once again, the Shanks Family have Smarties to give to anyone who would like to save 20ps towards this cause and return the tube to the coffee morning in February! Please speak to Hannah, Craig or Heather if you would like one! Thank you for helping us make a difference!
Please note that Februarys Clarion is ready to be collected and distributed. Thank you
preached as sole nominee last Sunday to the charge of Arbuthnott, Bervie and Kineff – and was elected on a unanimous vote by the congregation. Thanks all who were praying. We are delighted with the news. It looks like Andrew’s ordination and induction service, which will be in Bervie, is likely to be in early March. We’ll confirm the date as soon as we know.
Please consider coming along to help us finish off the painting which was started towards the end of last year. Please give your names to either Roy Marriott 07901547230 or John Weir 07983503026.
