East Kilbride Christian Aid Committee:
Christian Aid Praise, Sunday 12th May 2019, 7pm South Parish Church. We’re planning a different style of event this year at the beginning of Christian Aid Week. Mary will be sharing responsibility for the event with Seonaid, Barrie, and Mary Smith and we look forward to seeing you all again along with any of your friends who’d like to join in. There will be more pieces for everyone to sing and just two pieces for singers only. The arrangements and music for these will be available shortly. Full Practice date – Sunday 5th May at at 2.30pm. Sunday@7 :
Our new Sunday evening gathering is an opportunity for anyone aged 18-30 who wants to ask questions about faith, questions about God, questions about life and how all of these things relate to each other. We’ll be exploring a whole host of different things over the weeks we’re together and would love as many as possible to come and join us. Come for tea and coffee, snacks, some conversation and hopefully an opportunity to have your questions answered. We’ll be meeting at 7pm in the church. Christian Aid Week:
This year’s Christian Aid week will run from 12th to 18th of May. Once again we are looking for volunteers to help with the door to door collection during this week. If you can help with this or If you would like more information about what is involved, please do not hesitate to contact Joan Thomson on 01355 238100 or by email, or speak to me on a Sunday morning. Please consider if you can spare some time to help with this appeal as the monies raised are vital to continue Christian Aid’s work in combatting hunger and poverty throughout the world.

Big Brekkie for Christian Aid:
Once again, come and join us for a Big Brekkie to start Christian Aid week. Rolls and sausage & bacon along with other treats will be served after the morning service on Sunday 12th May to launch Christian Aid week. Please lend your support to this worthwhile cause and enjoy the fellowship of breakfast and a cuppa after the service.

The Community Council
in St Leonards are planning to brighten up the area around the Square with their St Leonards in BLOOM project
It’s all voluntary and to make it happen they are asking the Community for their support. You can support them by heading down to their coffee Morning in Claremont Parish Church Hall on May 4th at 10.00am – noon. Raffle gifts and home baking gratefully received. Coffee Morning:
Mairita Svagre is hosting a coffee morning on Saturday 11th of May to raise money to be able to provide Bibles for the children of her church in Latvia. Donations of raffle prizes and home baking would be greatly appreciated. Tortilla wraps can be purchased on the day to enjoy with your tea or coffee. Thank you!
