Summer Evening Services:
Aug 4th, 11th and 18th – joint service with Calderwood Baptist Church at 7pm at CBC. 25th August is the return of Last Sunday at Seven: 7pm at Calderwood Baptist Church.
We are delighted to announce that our probationer, David Nicolson has agreed to preach as sole nominee for the charge of Erskine Parish Church. David and Victoria are grateful for Claremont’s support, especially those who have been praying with them about this. They very much value prayer as they prepare for what the Lord is calling them to.
Walk with the Word:
Exodus – Drama Kirk presents a dramatised walk, bringing to life Moses and the Israelites wandering in the desert this summer. Experience the Exodus anew, from the Red Sea to the Promised Land, on an exciting journey. You will walk with some well-known bible characters and see dramatisations of temptations, trials and miracles. The walk is less than a mile and the event will last an hour; but does include one steep incline. It takes place on Saturday 10th August in Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton at 10am, Noon and 3pm. Tickets are free and are available through event brite – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/walk-with-the-word-exodus-tickets-62504971051
SAVE THE DATE😄:
Due to the success of the Spring Fayre in 2018 we have decided to commit to another one next year on Saturday May 16th 2020.
I would be delighted if the Congregation gave the same dedication and commitment as the last one. You were awesome! It is a great way to connect with the community again and in fact lots of folk have been asking about our next one. If you would be willing to do the same stall as last time that would be extremely helpful in the planning. Please let me know asap and if anyone else has some ideas and willing to help, that would be wonderful. Many thanks! Helen Cuthbertson
Donations of used books would be very welcome. Fiction only please.
Please note that the August Clarion is now ready for distributors to pick up for delivery. Thank you!
All Age Services:
We are hoping to pull together a selection of people from within the congregation to have a chat about the all-age services we’ve been doing lately. We’d like to think through what these services might look like and how they night be shaped going forward, whether or not we do carry them forward, and how regularly we night do them. We would like a range of opinions from across the congregation (both for and against) so that we can hear what’s working and what isn’t. We are hoping to meet on Thursday 22nd August – if anyone would like to be part of this, please come and talk to me, or drop me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Healing Hour Service:
Our next Healing Hour Service will be on Thursday 15th of August in the Williams Room at 7.00pm. Music will be provided by Craig Paterson and Donald Corlett. All Welcome!
